Music Meme

So Amisare Waswerebeen has tagged us for a music meme. Apparently, we are to list seven songs/CDs we have listened to recently and elaborate a bit. Then we have to tag seven others, but we don't generally do that, party poopers that we are. So we'll at least participate in the tag ...

This one's actually tough for me since the only time I listen to music is in the car. I have a 6 CD changer, so I could list all those. But I'll list three and have Chel list three, then we'll have to list a mutual favorite.

Depeche Mode, "Playing the Angel". I got this one mostly for "Precious" one of my favorite songs ever. But many of the others on this CD are great, too. I just love Depeche Mode. Always have.

Homemade. I have several songs on CDs that I've put on myself. Songs like "Walking With the Ghost" by Tegan & Sara, "Crush" by Jennifer Paige, "Goodnight Moon" by Shivaree, and songs by Tina Dico, t.A.T.u., Garbage, and even Poe, and so many others. I love the mix.

Cher, "Believe ". I generally am not a big Cher fan. But this CD I like a lot. Don't know why.

So that's my three ... Chelle

K T Tunstall, "Eye to the Telescope". Mostly I got the CD because I liked "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" because it has a funky beat. I found I like the rest of her songs because I just do. They're just good. They have a fun beat.

Indigo Girls, "All That We Let In". A little different from the other Indigo Girls CDs, because it's a little more mellow and introspective. I like that sometimes. Though I love almost all Indigo Girls stuff.

Evanescence, "The Open Door". This one is not one I like at all, but AJ had to listen to it in the car the other night. So it's here and I heard it. Still don't like it.

There's my three.

A mutual favorite -- Jem, "Finally Woken". Other than track 2, we like every song on here. Chel didn't think she liked it at first, "24" was the first song she heard, not sure it was a good song. But then she listened more and thought it was a very cool song. Chelle liked it from the start. "24" is also the first song she heard, but loved it right away. The rest of the songs are just bonus from there. An all time favorite.

5 Questions Revisited

Chelle did this already from Skittles. I guess its my turn. Let's see where my brain takes us today.

What have you learned so far from your visitors? My visitors…Have I learned anything from any of you? There are a lot of people out there who have a lot more time on their hands than I do…or maybe they just know how to use their time more wisely. That’s probably it. And, of course, there are a lot of great people who do great things in this world.

Did blogging change your life or your personality in any way?
Yes. It’s made me have to think more. I’ve begun to be just a little more aware of what’s going on around me so I have something to blog about.

Are you satisfied with what you’ve achieved this year, in general?
That’s a good question. I’m still alive. I still have a job. I like my job most of the time. But I have spent less time with friends, and that bothers me.

If someone would offer to pay for a course for you, what course would you take?
Digital photography where the digital camera is included in the registration fee. :)

If you had the opportunity to meet one person that you admire the most in the world, who would that be?
This is a tough one. There are many people I admire, and who I would love to meet. Maybe for right now, I’ll just say Dumbledore.

5 Questions Interview Game

Well, Skittles tagged us. So I'll answer for now ... we'll see if Chel can find the time to answer on her own. I'm just sitting here in the middle of the night answering the phones anyway ...

And I am finding these questions harder than I thought ...

What have you learned so far from your visitors? Uh ... I was supposed to learn something here?? Just kidding. I learned that there are some really nice, consistent people out there, and I love them.

Did blogging change your life or your personality in any way? ::thinking:: I don't think it changed my personality. I think parts of my life changed because of another blog I do ... This particular She Says It's Pretty Dumb blog, however, has made me see the humor in more situations than I used to. You know, I have to blog about something! I have a story from tonight's calls I can't wait to blog about. I just laughed out loud again thinking about it ... and I'm in a room all by myself.

Are you satisfied with what you’ve achieved this year, in general? Mostly. I always wish I was already done with school, but I will be by May. That's always good. But generally, I'm satisfied with my year.

If someone would offer to pay for a course for you, what course would you take? My Master's program. Okay, that's not a course, but it's hard to pick a course when you are already taking some.

If you had the opportunity to meet one person that you admire the most in the world, who would that be? This is a tough one. I admire many people, some of whom are passed away now. I think I'd love to spend some time with Sojourner Truth, for example. Or Mother Teresa. Even Martin Luther King, Jr. There are even obscure people passed on like Joseph Smith, Jr. And some of my ancestors. But if I have to stick with the living ... Sheri Dew, Gordon B. Hinckley, J K Rowling, Ellen DeGeneres. And there's always Xena ...

Oh, I guess I was supposed to pick just one. Wow. I do get carried away.

Thanks, Skittles!

We're It

We were tagged by Erika to do a Christmas song meme. And since Chelle could only think of maybe 2 Christmas songs she like (the rest were "none, none and none") I decided I would be the one with Christmas spirit and play along.

1) Still,still, still
2) Durmmer Boy (Chelle likes this one)
3) I saw Three Ships
4) Were You There?
5) What Child Is This? (Chelle likes this one too)

Ok, so they are all pretty serious ones. I guess for fun I also like Rudolf The Red-nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Rockin' around the Christmas Tree. (Chelle gags at these).

Tag Time!

I've been tagged by Mike at Mike's Place to do a meme (what ever that means). So here are the instructions, and here's what I came up with.

1. Grab the nearest book. If you are currently reading something, that'll be fine too.

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your Blog along with these instructions.

5. Tag 5 people

Bats of the Rocky Mountain West by Rick A. Adams
When hanging from a single foot, the other foot may be used in grooming. Night roosts may form in open buildings, cellars, porches, bridges, rock shelters, or shallow mines and caves. In Arizona, this species dwells mostly in caves or mines and, depending upon the season, roosts either singly or in groups (Hoffmeister 1986). They do not cluster in the roost even when colony sizes exceed hundreds of individuals.
