Today's list:
• silver birch branches reaching skyward
• a quality-of-life move
• baked Idaho potatoes
Well, a few things I can eliminate immediately. I don't much like classic fiddle tunes unless I'm in the exact mood and it's done really well. I am not sure what they mean by "quality-of-life" move. I thought all moves were to alter quality of life ... maybe I'm too dense about that. I had no idea who Garrison Keillor was before I read about him. So I'm down to two: silver birch branches or baked Idaho potatoes.
I think I'm going with beauty as opposed to food today. As much as I love baked Idaho potatoes, smothered in butter, cheese, sour cream (:: licking lips ::) I think I'd rather gaze at nature today.
What's your favorite?

I agree too, We have a few beautiful birch trees in our yard and I love them
I will have to say Idaho potatoes! Maybe because I'm from Idaho, but regardless, I love potatoes, especially the way you described!
It being cold here today(colder than it has been anyway) I'll go with the bakes potato lol.
Is there such a thing as a classic fiddle tune? I relate classic tunes to violins not fiddles but am happy to be proved wrong. Two big points however
1. aren't the strings supposed to be made from cat gut - this is NOT a good thing.
2. sometimes they sound like caterwauling - this can be a bit disturbing if you're a cat.
